With two weekends done, the cast and crew think they've mastered the art of bringing smiles to the audience's faces...well...maybe not "mastered," but we did see the front row smile!

Today we bring you Brittany...

1. What is your name?
I'm Kortney Amos.

2. Can you relate to your character?
I can't...But, people I know think I can relate to Brittany perfectly...

3. Have you acted before?
I have acted before; I've played Bertha in "Greater Tuna" at Rowlett High School.

4. So far, what has been the hardest thing about being in this play?
Remembering to come in. Because I have ten lines between one of mine.

5. What has been the easiest part about being in a play?
Not having to say things!

6. Here's a tough one: If you were stranded on a desert island, which character in the play would you like to be stranded with and why?
I wouldn't want to be Brittney and be stranded on a desert island. But, probably Madame Zenobia because she is really resourceful.

7. Anything you want to say to our readers and possible future audience?
This is one of the funniest plays I have ever seen! I've seen the play about six times and I still laugh.

8. Anyone you would like to say hi too?
Hi to my family and friends! They have been really supportive.

Fern Larraby

Today we bring you Fern Larraby...

1. What is your name?
I'm Carol Prano.

2. Can you relate to your character?
Oh yeah! Lots of ways! (smiling) Because I'm a mother and mothers always want to "whap!" their kids up on the side of their heads. And I get to do that in this play!

3. Have you acted before?
Yes. This is actually my third play with ACTOR. I had the privilege of being one of the aunts in "Arsenic and Old Lace". I played Martha Brewster.

4. So far, what has been the hardest thing about being in this play?
Learning the lines is always the hardest part.

5. What has been the easiest part about being in a play?
All your fellow actors are so supportive, they help you out. Believe it or not actors sometimes forget their lines on stage and everybody covers for you! Nobody knows it ever happened!

6. Here's a tough one: If you were stranded on a desert island, which character in the play would you like to be stranded with and why?
I would like to be stranded with Howie. Because Howie is just a kook and I would be entertained.

7. Anything you want to say to our readers and possible future audience?
You definitely need to come and see the ACTOR plays. They are so funny and I always think that each play that I am in is the funniest one. And then I'm in another one and it's even funnier than the last. This one is a real hoot.

8. Anyone you would like to say hi too?
I want to give a shout out to the chamber members! And tell them that they need to see this play!

No. Okay, I could be lying.

Yes, they tell me what I do is "acting".

Memorizing lines...and not laughing!

5. What has been the easiest part about being in a play?
That's a really good question....

6. Here's a tough one: If you were stranded on a desert island, which character in the play would you like to be stranded with and why?
Howie. Cause he will keep me laughing.

I hope you will come and join us, because the play is so funny that we have yet to rehearse without laughing.

Today, we bring you Officer Milo Larraby...

1. What is your name?
I'm Harry Huttash

2. Can you relate to your character?
I think so. He's a real laid back kinda guy. Loves his mom and just worships her really. And takes a lot of abuse from her. I can definitely relate to that!

3. Have you acted before?
Yes I have. I've had the fortunate situation to be able to at in several plays with ACTOR and its just a ball.

4. So far, what has been the hardest thing about being in this play?
The hardest thing has been, number one, memorization of line; because for me it takes me a while. And secondly, it is the time commitment, but believe me, it is all worth it!

5. What has been the easiest part about being in a play?
Just coming and enjoying the friendships and the hard work that we all put together to create a show that the audience would enjoy.

6. Here's a tough one: If you were stranded on a desert island, which character in the play would you like to be stranded with and why?
Not my mother, that's for sure! But I would say, probably, Madame Zenobia. Just because I like her style.

7. Anything you want to say to our readers and possible future audience?
You ought to come out and see this play. Out of all the plays I've done, this is probably one of the funniest one's I've seen. Just getting through rehearsals with my fellow actors and actresses, director, sound man, that it is just so comical funny; always laughter.

I'm Pam Minatrea

2. Can you relate to your character?
Very much so! I have a daughter and son-in-law and I'm a little bit of a flake...I'm a blonde! So, it comes naturally.

3. Have you acted before?
Not since high school.

4. So far, what has been the hardest thing about being in this play?
The stage fright!

5. What has been the easiest part about being in a play?
Nothing so far!

6. Here's a tough one: If you were stranded on a desert island, which character in the play would you like to be stranded with and why?
Oh goodness....I think...hmm....Howie. Just because he is hilarious! He would keep me laughing no matter what the circumstance.

7. Anything you want to say to our readers and possible future audience?
The experience of participating in a play with ACTOR has been wonderful! I love it to death! And, you can always depend on ACTOR having wholesome, funny comedies, that are family-oriented.

Hi to my Heritage church! The gang there has all been really supportive. They all plan on coming to see me make a fool of myself.

In this play? Hmm. That's really hard, on a desert island? I would be stranded with Larraby, because he is funny.

Its all hard! No, I would say, being surrounded with really nice people and its easy to show up everyday and be around them.

I have to think about the characters...I think Officer Milo Larraby, because he seems to have a lot of really bizarre stories to tell, and that would keep me entertained.

Conrad Spears

Today, we bring you Conrad Spears...

1. What is your name?
I'm Carl Pankratz

2. Can you relate to your character?
Well, I'm not married so I don't understand what its like to be beat up by your mother-in-law.

3. Have you acted before?
I’ve been in previous plays with Amateur Community Theatre of Rowlett. But, I am far from a professional.

4. So far, what has been the hardest thing about being in this play?
Dealing with Eric Fulton. He’s our director. He throws stuff and has a violent temper, so its a very hostile working environment. If I make it through alive, its been a good time and there are a lot of fun people to work with.

5. What has been the easiest part about being in a play?
Coming to rehearsal. Because every time I come here I’m surrounded by friends. No matter what’s going on in my day, coming here is like coming to a safe haven.

6. Here's a tough one: If you were stranded on a desert island, which character in the play would you like to be stranded with and why?
On the one hand you have Madame Zenobia, who is deceiving; like, if you teach her to make a fire, she might burn down your hut. There is a lot of those characters like that in the play. But at the end of the day, its Glenda.

7. Anything you want to say to our readers and possible future audience?
This is a fantastic opportunity to improve yourself. What I mean by that it is most everyone’s fear is public speaking. Doing things like this, helps you overcome that. Plus the friendships: If your new to Rowlett, this place is filled with so many good people; there is a sense of family here.

8. Anyone you would like to say hi too?
If you live in Rowlett, there is no better place to go, no matter what you are going through, you can come here and not have to worry about vulgar language or anything else that might be offensive. You can bring your family to the show and be around people who care about you and the city of Rowlett.
